It was it’s first day on sale, and someone bought it before I could.

Alas.
When I bought mine, the previous owner had traded in two Solar Yellow LJs at the same time: his and his wife’s.
His wife’s wasn’t a Rubicon, which I didn’t care about , and it was an automatic, which I absolutely did .
The salesperson I found when I arrived early in the morning wasn’t sure which one had sold, but he thought it was the manual that was gone. Waiting 5-10 minutes to find out which one was already gone, after a near-sleepless night in anticipation, was excruciating.

I think you learned something through this loss: you really like this particular model, so don’t give up!

Anyone who doesn’t lo ve that Jeep has no soul.

I have known this about myself for at least 13 years.

You rang?

The only yellow LJ’s for sale aren’t even stock like Just Jeepin’s or that one. I’d want an automatic (yeah I know) Rubicon stock, and that seems IMPOSSIBLE.
Of course, with me considering a purchase nearly the amount of my first year‘s salary, this would need to wait a while.

Told you it was a good price, actually a steal. Keep up the hunt, took 3 years to find mine.

Buuuuuut I wanted that one!!!!

Where are you finding any yellow LJs for sale, stock or not?

The first one is a terrible deal, the second one is a relatively great deal but far from stock, the third one is in good shape but scary expensive, and the last one is nearly perfect for me, but no spare is ugly. Also, no interior shots.

Dang. Sorry to hear that. Those go quick and are super high demand. Manual LJs are super rare in any form, much less in that perfect combo, but I’m sure you can find another if you are willing to travel.
One minor point of cheer: You don’t have to de al with this pollen. I’ve driven it once since the la st wash and I’m admittedly somewhat peeved. Second time this year too. Gotta look on the bright side. Don' t give up.

Damn. I haven’t been looking for one since, obvs, two of the same kind would b e ridiculous but...damn. I really need to test drive one just to remind myself what a functional manual transmission feels like.

I’ve even thought about financing a JL for six years or whatever, but driving my RAV4 has made me way too picky about the pre reqs for a new car. Keyless Enter & Go? Heated seats? Yep, welcome to $45,000 Rubicon territory.

Keyless entry isn’t a problem...

Yeah, I’m glad there’s a cold front extending sunroof season. Sunroof/windows season is usually a combined four months of the year. Otherwise, it’s way too humid.

Bah. Drop the windshield (very easy to do on the JL) and there’s no such thing as too hot.

That sucks. :( LJs are the best TJs.

Bummer, I was excited for you!

Jeeps are bad unless you fix the rust issues, get rid of the engine and trans and replace the axles. But after that its just a frame and body so not really a jeep.

From this point on, it would be best for you to think of that person as Your Saviour. And move on...

I wish, but I drove it with my wife and we both fell in love with the idea of a Jeep

The idea of a Jeep doesn’t mean that it had to be (and could only be) that Jeep.
There are millions of Jeeps...this was just one. Yours may not even have been built yet!
